The monster has arrived

After 4 months of waiting, last thursday it finally arrived! The new metal monster from ENGL-amps: E646, Victor Smolski - Limited edition! It looks and sound absolutely amazing: For now I will put up some pics for ya so you can see how awesome this one looks, but I will also in the near future let you know how it sound!

New amp and a new review of KMOE

Hi there!

Yesterday I sold my old amp, an ENGL fireball, and I am now waiting for my new monster to arrive.The new amp is going to be something absolutely special! It's still an ENGL of course! Everything else sounds like brown and smelly shit compared to ENGL, everybody knows that ; )

The new one is going to be their latest model: Victor Smolski limited edition E646, and its f***ing awesome I tell you, check out the picture above! Unfortunately the general agent for ENGL in Sweden is slow like a slug and I have now been waiting for it over two months! AAArrghh!

I will probably get it next week or the week after that... maybe...

Re-Decorating the rehearsal premises

Hi there folks!

So far it has been a week with hard home labor.

Yesterday we started to re-decorate our rehearsal premises. Check out the enormous transformation: schematic picture, before and after!!! Also follow the nail biting story below!

Before we started redecorating we cleaned and killed many off the dust rats (dammråttor),

and the survivors of the dust rat family moved over to Lizett &´s side of the room. Mmhhuuuahahahaha!!!

EVIL=

We moved Johans drum kit from the center of the end of the room, to the left corner of it, so we get more space for head banging and creating crazy moshpits while rehearsing!

But first things, first: "Fika" (the Swedish word for Coffey break with biscuits), Yummy!!!

After this yummy treat, Hartman and Tulli arived and finally we could start to work:

Tessan started off with the assembling the plastic shelf for merch/junk storage.

I'm done! (...ehh... Its upp side down...)

Johan is rigging down parts of hit drum kit...

The entrance hall to our rehearsal place... now filled with junk, mostly Tomas junk... ;)

I had a fantastic night at Pub Anchor... until i was singing a song whit Micke "INK" Östling (Lizette&) and the cover band Allstars. A man from the audience wanted to be decent to say thanx, and gave me a hug so hard that i was at hospital for four days.

Then a few days later we reached the 2nd spot at Emergenza music festival Sweden.

I took a few days of to cure

Disdained reched 2nd spot in the Emergenza competition!

We got the results from saturdays Stockholm final and WE WON!

We went to Debaser Medis on sunday evening to participate in the Swedish final and there we reached 2nd spot.

This meant that from all bands competing in Sweden this year we came 2nd.

Also the best musicians ware chosen and our 2 guitarists, Niklas Dahlin and Johan Hartman,won together the spot as best guitarist in the Swedish competition! They got a Marshall guitar stack and other stuff worth atleast 20000 SEK.

After a session with almost 10 ours of straight drumming, everybody is worn out and needs to have their beauty sleep.

So god night and sleep tight… tight is a word that is used to often in the studio…

...it was a peaceful Thursday morning in Jakan (a suburban to Stockholm) when Therése and Niklas peacefully ate their breakfast and enjoyed their hot, wonderbaar coffey... (eine große Tasse Kaffee).

It tasted fantastich, and the birds was singing!

Suddenly we heard a dreadful sound!!!

We got smashed together by the blast wave (from hell)!

Satan is here!!! - Tessan screamed!!!

What the fuck!!! - Answered Niklas!!!

We looked out the window a saw machines for a world beyond, with evil intentions to destroy our beautiful world... or I mean back yard...

Hello metal friends!

To day I was supposed to go up early (08:00) and go to school because to day was my exam day of a course in environmental science. (For all of you that doesnt know that, I am a student of Stockholm university where I study biology and earth science/geology). Anyhoo, I offcuorse overslept and missed the exam! - Syntax error!

So now I'm just sitting here in The panic roomstudio (my home), drinking coffey and taking it easey and thinking on what a great show we will preform tomorrow and how many beers I will drink...

hmmm... I tink I'm getting some new ideas for a new song also... maybe I will do some recordings today if i just can find some kind of energy to do that... Don't get me wrong, I am not the common layzy individual when it comes to music, I usually put my music in the first room (with all the consequences that comes along of doing that), but to day I just feel soo damn lazy!

Well, I can also tell you that me, Tomas and some other wonderful people are going out tonight for some jummy treats! We are going to the Texas long horn smoke house for some bloody beefs and ice cold beer. After that we are going to the wonderful and expensive beer/whisky pub called Akkurat (Wich means "exactly" in norwegan). It's a bar/restaurant in cenral Stockholm that are specialists on beer from Belgium and Scottish malt whiskey, jummy!!! After that we are going to meet up some other friends for more beer and happy joyful treats!

We will offcuorse post some pics here and perhaps some video clips aswell after the gig.

Well, I have to go now, I must embrace the beginning of my free weekend and get my ass out of this comfortable chair!!!

Last week we made the final recordings for the new upcoming Disdained EP. Therése did an awesome job in the studio on the two songs "shame" and "until my last breath". So now we can only wait for the mixing to get finished, then we will send the mix for mastering at the famous "Cutting room" in Stockholm, Sweden. We are really excited to get the final product and to listen to it. This EP will soon be availeble exclusivley via Poison tree records and iTunes. Stay tuned for updates!

Hi everyone and welcome to the world of Disdained!
We thougt that it would be great to start out the new year of 2009 with our own blog so eveyone can paticipate in the events of our band!

As you may know, we are currently working to finalize the recording and mixing of our EP that are to be released as soon as the mixing phase is done.
